  • What should I do if my business is a victim of fraud?

    We’re sorry you experienced fraud. Contact our support team for next steps:

    Submit the details of the transaction by email at support@coastpay.com or by phone at (833) 262-7801 no later than 48 hours after you discovered the fraud and no later than 60 days following the date we issued you a statement reflecting the transaction being disputed.

    You must specify your details, details about the card user, details about the transaction, and an explanation of your belief that the transaction was unauthorized.

    Even if the unauthorized transaction doesn’t meet all the criteria for the guarantee, you might still be able to dispute the charge or benefit from some coverage. Reach out to our support team to learn more.

  • What does the guarantee cover?

    The Fuel Fraud Guarantee applies to fuel purchases only. In order to qualify as a Fuel Purchase, Coast must receive line-item transaction data from the applicable merchant. All other spend categories are excluded.

  • Are there any conditions to benefit from the guarantee?

    The following security settings must be turned on for the transaction to be covered by the fuel fraud guarantee:

    1. “SMS security” via phone number is enabled, and
    2. One of the following settings is enabled: (i) manual odometer collection or (ii) a telematics integration that is configured to automatically decline fuel transactions when the vehicle is too far from the merchant.

    Your Coast account must also be in good standing and you must be in full compliance with the Coast terms.
